Export & Global Trading

Scalderhurst buys and sells paper and board stock on the global market. We trade surplus, redundant and non-standard material into new homes worldwide — and source hard-to-find grades from leading global manufacturers for buyers who can't get what they need locally.

What We Do

Our export business is built on two activities that reinforce each other — buying stock that others don't need, and selling it to buyers who do.

Buying & Selling Surplus Stock

Mills, converters and brand owners regularly have surplus material they want to clear — end-of-run lines, cancelled orders, slightly off-spec stock, or grades that no longer fit their programme. We buy this material and trade it into the global market, finding the right buyer for each job.

Global Trading Capability

Over 50 years of trading has given us buying and selling relationships with leading global manufacturers, converters and end users. When stock needs a new home — or a buyer needs a specific grade — we know who to talk to.

Expertise in Redundant Materials

Not every parcel of paper is easy to place. Mislabelled reels, damaged pallets, unusual formats or cancelled mill runs all have a value to the right buyer. Our team specialises in identifying that buyer and reworking material where needed before it ships.
